European gasoline is rated by the Research Octane Number (RON).
American gas stations use an average of the RON and the Motor
Octane Number (MON). These two methods use the same tests, but
under very different conditions. For example, the RON is measured
at 600 RPM and at 135 degrees inlet temperature; whereas the MON
is measured at a much more realistic 900 RPM and 318 degrees.
RON always yields the highest number; MON always yields the lowest
number. The number you see on the pump at an American gas station
if an average of the two, called Pump Octance Number (PON).

Your CLC asks for 95 RON, which equals 87 MON. Therefore,
the average is 89 Pump Octane Number.
